About Us

The Team

The 3Chemists team has over 50 years of experience connecting fundamental chemical understanding with applied chemistry to turn nascent technologies into commercial realities. Our team provides the consulting, advisory, and analysis services you need to take your technology to the next stage.

Frederick Baddour

Founder & Chief Consultant

Fred Baddour is an expert in inorganic chemistry with over 10 years of experience in small-molecule inorganic synthesis, surface chemistry manipulation and the design, synthesis and charaterization of nanomaterials. Spanning fundamental synthetic chemistry to applied catalyst manufacturing and the development of economic analysis tools, Fred has a track record of translating innovative ideas into successful research programs. Fred has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Boston University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Boston College.

Susan Habas

Founder & Chief Consultant

Susan Habas is an expert in scalable nanomaterials synthesis, in situ characterization, and catalytic technologies for the production of renewable chemicals and fuels. She has published over 50 articles in high impact journals and holds 7 patents. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and serves on multiple editorial and advisory boards focused on materials and catalysis. Susan has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a A.B. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.

Daniel Ruddy

Founder & Chief Consultant

Dan Ruddy is an expert in inorganic chemistry and catalysis, including materials characterization and product analysis. He has co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and is an inventor on 9 patents. Despite often being confused with a chemical engineer, Dan has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Chemistry from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
